Apothecary Jar - Sp.Junip.C.
Junip. Juniper was used as a stimulant and diuretic. Usually available as "Sp. Junip. C.", meaning Compound Spirits of Juniper.
This jar is handpainted using underglazes on porcelain. The design is consistent with those found on 19th century apothecary jars. The terminology used is what would have been found on apothecary jars of the era.
Size: 1 1/4" (32mm) tall by 1/2" (12.5mm) wide
